Tour Sage-Thyme Gardens, Weenie Roast, and Hike Montezuma

Tour the gardens at Sage-Thyme Haven, the private home of Sandy and Pat in Waterloo. You will walk amongst perennial beds, the rock garden, and the extensive herb garden. Pat will let you know what’s growing and the uses of the herbs, if you wish. Afterward we’ll fire up the grill for a weenie roast and s ’mores. 

We may see herons flying overhead on their way back to Montezuma. Then, around 6 - 6:30 pm, we’ll head off to the Esker Brook trail in the Montezuma Wildlife Refuge for a 1.6 mile hike to the pool and back along the Esker ridge. Hopefully we’ll spot some birds and other wildlife.

Bring: A side dish to pass and optionally something else to grill if you don’t want hot dogs. Bug repellent is a necessity. Don't forget your hat and water bottle. Optional: camera, binoculars, hiking sticks.
