Jo-Ann, the Regional Contact for the Connecticut chapter of Women Outdoors, is making a special trip to the Mid-Atlantic region to lead this workshop on outdoor skills, and we're delighted she is.

Come learn essential skills such as using a compass, reading a map, and staying found. We will play compass games and talk about survival scenarios.

We'll meet at Cabin John Local Park in Potomac, MD, for the workshop. While we'll practice our skills on the trail along Cabin John Creek, we won't really be doing very much hiking on this event; we'll be working on our outdoor skills instead.

This free event is open to members and non-members of Women Outdoors Mid-Atlantic. Non-members are invited to join us on two events to see what you think. The third time's a charm - we'll ask you to join Women Outdoors at that point. You can join now by clicking on Join Us.

Registration closes on Thursday, October 23. Please include a telephone number in case of last minute changes or if we need to cancel because of the weather.

Thanks.
