Join us for our planning meeting/lunch and hike. Towering 150’ above Lake Ontario in Wayne County, Chimney Bluffs features the most dramatic landscape on the Lake Ontario shore. Experience the massive earthen spires while enjoying the park's lakeshore nature trails. We’ll meet just into the grassy area of the park, near the facilities. (It’s a long hike to the picnic area, and the tables there are small). I’ll bring a table and plates, cutler, etc. for your dish to pass. You can either sit on the large flat boulders or bring a lawn chair.
After our lunch and planning meeting, we’ll head out on the trails in the park, picking the trails that will give us a nice loop. Or we can go down to the shore and then return. Approximate length of the hike will be 2-3 miles.
This free event is open to members and non-members of Women Outdoors. Non-members are invited to join us on two events to see what you think. The third time's a charm - we'll ask you to join Women Outdoors at that point. You can join now by clicking on Join Us.
Bring: Hat, water bottle, your trip ideas, calendar, appetite, and a dish to pass. Optional: hiking sticks, camera, a friend! Wear shoes appropriate for the walk.
