Wet exit and kayak rescue clinic.  Join us at the DAR State Forest in Goshen to practice exiting your kayak in case of an unexpected capsize.  Then, learn how to get back in!  We’ll focus on assisted rescues, where a woman in a kayak will help the “swimmer” get back in, and we will also practice how to get back in should you find yourself alone and capsized.  We’ll also talk about kayak safety and discuss the appropriate safety gear to have with you.  Bring your own boat, paddle, and pfd.  This is appropriate for beginners as well as those who would just like a refresher.

Thunder/Lightening Date will be Thursday, July 22nd if we can't get on the water on Tuesday, July 20th.

We can accept 6 - 10 people for this clinic.  Bring your own equipment, what you usually have with you, you of course must have a pfd to participate.

This event is open to members and non-members of Women Outdoors.  Non-members are invited to join us on three events before we ask you to join Women Outdoors.

Contact the trip leader for more information. Members refer to member only calendar for trip leader info.  Non-members contact a regional coordinator for information. Click on "Register" by noon on July 19th to attend this event.  Trip leader information will be sent to you in your confirmation email.
