Unfortunately the parking area for the Eldridge Wilderness is not being plowed this year so it’s not feasible to hike there this weekend. Instead we’ll hike on the Lansing Center Trail (www.lansing-pathways.com), located less than 10 miles away from the Eldridge Wilderness (directions below). The main loop is 1.5 miles and offers views of Cayuga Lake Valley, the National Forest backbone, Connecticut Hill, and Newfield hills
What to bring: Due to the amount of snow, snowshoes or cross country skis and hiking poles will make this excursion more enjoyable. Dress for the weather. We won’t stop for lunch on the trail since this is a short hike, but you may want to bring a snack and water. Start Time: Please plan your travels so that you arrive with enough time to prepare to start to hike at 11 am.
This free event is open to members and non-members of Women Outdoors. Non-members are invited to join us on two events to see what you think. The third time's a charm - we'll ask you to join Women Outdoors at that point. You can join now by clicking on Join Us
