Spring is here and wildflowers are bursting out everywhere, especially Virginia bluebells. One of the best places around to see these little blue beauties is Riverbend Park in Fairfax County. We'll take the trail along the Potomac River and head toward Great Falls Park and hike 5-6 miles give or take a little.
We're meeting earlier than usual because there will be other groups meeting at Riverbend Park that morning. Bring your camera and binoculars on this picturesque hike. Most of the terrain is flat, but be sure and wear sturdy shoes or hiking boots because parts of the trail are hilly and could be muddy.
Thanks.
