Join us for dinner (6 pm) or just the hike/snowshoe (7 pm) on the Ontario Pathways on this full moon night! The trail is flat and even, ideal for night hiking/snowshoeing. We'll hike/snowshoe for about two hours (one hour out/one hour back). Meet for dinner at Café at Wegmans in Canandaigua 345 Eastern Blvd., Canandaigua. Meet for hiking/showshoeing at the Ontario Pathways Parking area at the Ontario County Fairgrounds on County Rd 10 in Canandaigua.
Bring a flashlight in case the moon doesn't cooperate and dress in layers according to the weather. And snowshoes if there is snow (we'll update you before the event). Optional: hiking poles, water
Directions: Thruway exit 44, Canandaigua, Rt. 332. To Wegmans from the thruway exit 44: proceed on 332 south through Canandaigua. After passing through downtown Canandaigua, turn left (East) on Rt. 5 &20 and continue to Wegmans on your right. To the trailhead, continue East on Rt 20. At the second light, turn left on County Rd 10. The old Walmart and the Canandaigua movie cinema are on the right. There is a traffic light at Recreation Drive. You will see XL Auto on the right side of the road. Continue 0.5 miles to a rotary. Proceed on Co. Road 10 for another 0.5 miles. You will see a large, white wooden sign with the word "Ontario County". Turn left into the Ontario County Fairgrounds parking lot. The trailhead is across the road. To the trailhead from thruway exit: same as above, except continue on County Rd 10. The Ontario County Fairgrounds address is 345 Eastern Blvd.
