Registration is closed

Join us for one of our most popular events, our Dog Days of August Walk. Bring your furry four-legged friend for a romp through upper Rock Creek Park.

We’ll walk about 4-5 miles along the mostly flat trails under the tree canopy and along the creek (and quite possibly in the creek as well). Park regulations say pets must be leashed at all times.

After our walk we’ll have a picnic in the Meadowbrook area of the park.

Rock Creek is a longtime local favorite and part of the National Park Service, which is celebrating its centennial on Thursday, August 25. (Just a reminder - admission is free to all National Parks sites from Thursday-Sunday, August 25-28).

This free event is open to members and non-members of Women Outdoors. Non-members are invited to join us on two events to see what you think. On your third event, we’ll ask you to join Women Outdoors. You can also join now by clicking on this Join Us link.

Registration closes on Friday, August 26. Please be sure and include a telephone number in case of any last minute changes.
