NOTE: Date change due to extreme heat on Saturday.
Launch at the boat ramp at Wide Waters or from the shore (small stones/sand) We will paddle through the Wide Waters section of the Erie canal, about 1.5 miles in length. It is flat water, mostly sunny with shade near the north banks in afternoons. We'll paddle until 4 or 5 then meet at Linda's place (about a mile from the launch site) for hots over a campfire.
MUST THINGS TO BRING: kayak, paddle, life jacket, water shoes.
Other things to bring: water/fluids, food, bug spray, hat, wear clothes that can get wet (quick dry clothes), change of clothes, towel, etc, Don't carry anything that can't get wet unless in waterproof containers. You might also want to bring a band to secure your glasses or sunglasses, binoculars, and a camera.
If joining us afterwards, please bring your drink and a dish to share.

Wide Waters Park is directly North of Concord Ford, Newark on Hwy 31/Filkins Rd. There is a wide drive/road next to a white fence.
