Join Women Outdoors Mid-Atlantic for a moderate 5-mile leaf peepers hike at Little Bennett Regional Park in northern Montgomery County, Maryland, about 30 miles northwest of Washington, D.C.
We hiked the trail twice and it is not very populated, with people that is. Birds abound at Little Bennett so bring binoculars if you have them, but please leave your doggies at home for this hike.
Our hike will take us through the woods with gentle elevation gain. You do need to be mindful of your walking because there are some small rocks and roots along the trail. We will bring our lunches and stop at Hawk’s Reach Activity Center and eat at some picnic tables. If the center is open they have restrooms available.
This free event is open to members and non-members of Women Outdoors. Non-members are invited to join us on two events to see what you think. We hope you'll join Women Outdoors on your third event with us. You can also join right now by clicking on this Join Us link.
Registration closes on Thursday, Nov. 10. Please include a telephone number with your registration so we can reach you in case of any last minute changes. Feel free to invite a friend; however everyone must register to be notified if there are any changes.
