Please join us as we start out the New Year with a planning meeting for our Winter calendar. Continuing around our beautiful Finger Lakes region, we will meet this time in the Syracuse area at the Dewitt Community Library in the ShoppingTown Mall (around the back, ground level).

We’ll start out at 11 am with our planning meeting, and then reward ourselves with lunch, before we head outdoors for a walk on the Erie Canal Trail (if there is enough snow- snowshoes or cross country skis would be fine). It’s very flat and you can go just a little bit and turn around or go for miles and miles. If the weather isn’t cooperating, we can walk around the mall or even take in a movie while we are there.

Our planning meetings are always a great way to learn about Women Outdoors (our national organization), to meet members, and to have some fun. Please invite your friends.

Bring: a light lunch and something small to share. (No kitchen available). Also bring some ideas of things you would like to do this winter and early spring! Even some indoor ideas because the weather is not dependable to be able to be outside in the winter!!! Don’t forget your calendar.

Directions: The Dewitt Community Library, 3649 Erie Blvd E, Syracuse, NY 13214, is easy to get to to off of Route 481 and the DeWitt exit. You can use this link for a map and directions: Library We'll be in the Buckland room inside the library.

The Erie Canal Trail entrance that we’ll be using is next to the DeWitt Town Hall (5400 Butternut Dr, East Syracuse, NY 13057) off Butternut Drive near Kinney St. There is plenty of parking and additional parking if needed at the DeWItt Town Hall which is adjacent to the trail head.

This free event is open to members and non-members of Women Outdoors. Non-members are invited to join us on two events to see what you think. The third time's a charm - we'll ask you to join Women Outdoors at that point. You can join now by clicking on Join Us.
