Slow Poke Bike Ride on the Onondaga Recreational Trail

What to bring:  your bike (in good working order), helmet (a must), plenty of hydration fluids, snack, and whatever else you feel necessary.

Let’s meet in the parking lot off Willow Street of the Onondaga Lake Park at 11:00 AM.  From there we will ride our bikes on a paved and sometimes shaded trail to the overlook point on the west side of the lake.  The distance is approximately 15 miles round trip.  Once on the lookout we will enjoy the scenery, have a snack/drink and rest a bit then return.  As the title implies this will be an easy going ride with stops along the way as necessary.  The length of time all depends on how many stops.  At a minimum one and a half hours.  For those interested we can grab a bite to eat at the White Water Pub, directly across the parking lot on 110 South Willow St.

For those who have never been there, the trail is relatively flat with a couple of inclines but doable.  Also this is a multi-use trail so caution and courtesy for others on the trail is highly encouraged.

This free event is open to members and non-members of Women Outdoors. Non-members are invited to join us on two events to see what you think. The third time's a charm - we'll ask you to join Women Outdoors at that point. You can join now by clicking on Join Us.

You can also join our Meetup Group: http://www.meetup.com/Women-Outdoors-Finger-Lakes/ and you'll be able to share in the conversation with other attendees, ask about car-pooling, borrow equipment, etc. RSVP here or on Meetup.
