Early morning is the best time for bird watching. We’ll go slowly and watch for wildlife and plant life. Trails are flat and wood-chipped.
Visitor center with restrooms opens at 10am. Until then there are no facilities on site, and no picnicking allowed at any time.
This event is one of several planned for July 7-9 in Ithaca, come to as many as you wish.
NOTE: For even more fun, some members are camping overnight in the Taughannock Falls State Park in nearby Trumansburgh, NY, Friday or Saturday or both. Camping reservations are on your own. See "Summer Planning Meeting and Taughannock Falls Gorge Walk" event post for camping information.
Bring binoculars, water, tick protection, sun protection although most trails are fairly shady.
