Join us as we explore a little bit of history on our hike at Teddy Roosevelt Island. We'll learn about what the area was like in the late 1700s and early 1800s, the history of the Potomac in that area, and nearby Georgetown.
We'll walk the main loop as well as an interior trail for about 2.5-3 miles. The terrain is mostly flat, so no hiking poles necessary. Sorry, no doggies on this walk.
If it's cold, be sure and bring something hot to drink on the trail. We won't be having a picnic lunch on this winter hike, but there are several restaurants in North Arlington if folks want to grab a bite to eat afterwards.
This free event is open to members and non-members of Women Outdoors. Non-members may join us on two events before we'll ask you to join Women Outdoors. You can also join right now by clicking on this Join Us link.
Registration closes on Thursday, Feb. 22. Be sure and include your telephone number in case we need to let you know about any last minute changes.
We'll send an email on Friday, Feb. 23 to everyone who has registered with all of the details.
