Join us for a workshop on nature photography. Find out what your camera can do and get off of AUTO. Learn basic techniques for capturing photographs in the outdoors. We will review composition, light, scenes, manual settings, and equipment. Handouts on these topics will be provided to all attendees.
Bring: your camera (any type, including a phone), and a tripod if you have one. You will have time to try out your new skills which you can later share with the group on Meetup.
Also Bring: water, hat, bug spray, suntan lotion, snacks, and a pen for notes.
We will meet at Oak Island Village Park and Marina in Waterloo, where we will be able to test out our skills on the waterfront, ducks and other birds, trees, and a canal lock. There are facilities (toilet and shower) on site.
How to Find us: We will meet at the pavilion if not booked. Otherwise, look a dark RAV 4 with a kayak rack. It’s a small place, and it will be easy to find each other.
Address: 1 Oak St, Waterloo, NY 13165
If you’re coming from a distance, bring your lunch to eat at the park (picnic benches available) before the workshop.
This free event is open to members and non-members of Women Outdoors. Non-members are invited to join us on two events to see what you think. The third time's a charm - we'll ask you to join Women Outdoors at that point. You can join now by clicking on Join Us.
