Walk/Snowshoe in Fiddlers Green Park

  • 09 Feb 2019
  • 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
  • Jamesville, NY

Registration

Registration is closed

The Women Outdoors Finger Lakes region is considering a community project in this small park to improve signage. The local boy scout troop erected historic marker several years ago. These markers present a look into the history of Jamesville. This event is to get-to-know the park. We hope that you can join us.

From the lower parking lot, a trail parallels scenic Butternut Creek, through the forest. Most of the trails are flat. The up hill trails are not strenuous. It will take less than an hour to cover the whole park.

*DIRECTIONS*

4691 Solvay Rd · Jamesville, NY

From 481 take exit 2. From the north turn left at the end of the ramp, from the south, turn right. Head toward Jamesville on Jamesville road. Take the first left onto Solvay Road. Cross over the bridge and take the first, immediate right into the lower parking lot. If there is no parking there, it is OK to park on the shoulder of the the road, as the road is mostly unused. Otherwise, continue uphill on Solvay Road, around the curve, to the upper parking lot.

The lower parking lot has room for 3 cars. The upper lot would hold 5 cars.

If there is enough snow, we can snowshoe. Bring water and a snack and dress for the weather.

This free event is open to members and non-members of Women Outdoors. Non-members are invited to join us on two events to see what you think. The third time's a charm - we'll ask you to join Women Outdoors at that point. You can join now by clicking on Join Us.
