Spring is here and wildflowers are bursting out everywhere, especially Virginia bluebells. One of the best places around to see these little blue beauties is Riverbend Park in Fairfax County. We'll take the trail along the Potomac River and head toward Great Falls Park and hike 3-5 miles depending on the wishes of the group. We're meeting later than usual because we are meeting on a weekday and we want to drive after the morning traffic. We realize some of you cannot come during the week but we are trying to experiment with a few mid-week events. Bring your camera and binoculars on this picturesque hike. Most of the terrain is flat, but be sure and wear sturdy shoes or hiking boots because parts of the trail could be muddy.
