This is a quiet-water kayak. The creek is deep in parts before becoming more of a shallow creek. We will kayak along a marsh and up the creek. There will be a lot of birds such egrets, herons, and perhaps an eagle or two, as well as disused beaver lodges.
This will be a moderate kayaking trip. We will kayak up to 4-6 miles in 3 hours. Bring your own kayak or you can rent one on-site at Atlantic Kayak. Singles cost $25 for 2 hours, $35 for 3 hours, $50 for all day. Doubles cost $35 for 2 hours, $45 for 3 hours, $65 for all day. Maryland sales tax of 6% is in addition. Atlantic Kayak also requires either a credit card or drivers license as collateral.
All kayakers are required to wear their PFDs (personal flotation devices) while on the water and not just have it attached to their boat.
