These usually sell out before the date so don’t wait. If you don’t make my time slot, I encourage you to do the tour anyways. They are very enjoyable with bits of humor and historical tidbits. Oakwood Cemetery is hilly and very rough in places. There are interesting and unusual monuments there to see. They will reschedule for thunder/lightening but NOT for just rain, so dress for the weather. These are entertaining historical tales about settlers of Syracuse buried in Oakwood Cemetery. We might go to Gannons after for ice cream if you are interested.

Come experience the newest edition of OHA's Historic Ghostwalks! Walk through Oakwood Cemetery and hear the stories of those at rest there, including an early Syracuse mover and shaker, a prominent local family, a pair of star crossed lovers, and a murder victim; all amidst the beauty of the cemetery as a backdrop. Tours leave every 15 minutes and are expected to last around 75 minutes each. The address is below however as you get close watch for parking signs for GHOSTWALK and pull in according to the signs. There are several access points. They usually have the Ghostwalkers enter along Colvin but not always!
No paper or digital ticket needed for check-in at the old chapel. Please arrive 10-15 minutes before your tour to allow enough time for parking and check-in.

Cost is $15 for non Onondaga Historical Association members. ($12 if you are a member- call 315-428-1864 for the member discount code).
Bring: Stable shoes with good treads are a must. An umbrella if possible rain needed. Oakwood is NOT a smooth walk in a park. There are hills and lots of unevenness!!

Events may be cancelled due to lack of attendance, as well as changes in weather or other circumstances. If you must cancel at the last minute, call or text the event host/trip leader (see your registration confirmation for contact details) and let her know who it is who is calling/texting. Be sure to copy down the address, directions, and trip leader contact information to bring with you as there might not be good cell service at the event location.
