This is 400 acres of land managed by Finger Lakes Land Trust right next door to Cumming Nature Center, on the hill east of Honeoye Lake. 90 acres of this land was donated by the families of three artists who painted in the area around 1926. One of the trails will take us by the cabin the artists lived in. We will also have views of Briggs Gully which runs along the property. There are stands of old trees including hemlocks, pines. There’s also a woodland pond. We’ll hike about 3 miles on several trails that run through this acreage. This hike will be moderate with some ups and downs.

Directions:
From Rochester/Central NY area take rt. 20A east to Honeoye. Keep going through village of Honeoye until you come to CR 33, turn right on 33. Take the first left, staying on 33, then the first right onto Pinewood Hill which becomes Gulick Rd. Once on Gulick Rd., travel about 2.5 miles. You will see a sign for Wesley Rd. on your right, but do not turn, stay straight on Gulick Rd. In another mile you’ll see a small sign on right indicating Wesley Hill Preserve parking lot. Park here.
