Join Stacy for a map and compass hike
Every November the Central New York Orienteering Club hangs markers in the woods at Highland Forest County Park for people to find using a map and compass. We can use these markers to guide our hike, but we'll choose where and how far we feel like walking. Trails in this park may be steep and muddy.
Lunch afterwards is an option. The Skyline Lodge lunch counter may not be open for the year yet, but CNL Mercantile in nearby Fabius has good soup and sandwiches.
*** Date subject to change *** If Saturday's forecast sounds unpleasant but another day has better weather, I may consult everyone who's signed up about switching to a nicer day.

Please respect the trip leader and other members and update your RSVP if you sign-up but then are unable to attend. Events may be cancelled due to lack of attendance, as well as changes in weather or other circumstances. If you must cancel at the last minute, call or text the event host/trip leader (see your registration confirmation for contact details) and let her know who it is who is calling/texting. Be sure to copy down the address, directions, and trip leader contact information to bring with you as there might not be good cell service at the event location.
