Find out what your camera can do and get off of AUTO. Learn basic techniques for capturing photographs in the outdoors. We will review composition, light, scenes, manual settings, and equipment. Most will apply to both phone and point-and-shoot cameras.

Sandy has been a member of Women Outdoors since 1997. She started the Finger Lakes, NY region in 2006, and is currently Regional Contact along with Stacy. She is a former board member, and has been our Gathering Coordinator since 2021. Sandy, along with her partner, Pat, have been traveling since 2006. At the 2008 Gathering they were the keynote speakers, presenting "Paradise Preserved: Our Journey to the Galapagos Islands. Sandy is not a professional photographer, but will be sharing with you what she has learned on her own in preparation for their many travels, shooting photos of scenery, animals, and plants.
