Join Women Outdoors members at this PUBLIC event paddle and bash on the Erie Canal
Join hundreds of paddlers (and Judy, Lynn, and Valerie) at this annual paddling event as we fill the Old Erie Canal with colorful kayaks, canoes, and stand up paddleboards!

NOTE: There are five launch locations. If you'd like to start with Judy, Lynn, and Valerie, then select the Manlius Center launch when you register. We will be launching at 9 am. Total one way distance to Chittenango Landing Canal Boat Museum is 7.2 miles. We are a glutton for punishment. Be sure to get there in time to find us. Or if you prefer to launch from a different location, then look for us at the end for the after party bash.
COST: $10 per person + $5 (optional) for shuttle service!
You MUST register and pay on the public site. But please RSVP here as well once you have registered, to let us know you are coming.
After Party:
All paddlers end at the Chittenango Landing Canal Boat Museum at 12:30 pm for the Boat Float Bash with music and food trucks!
Bring:
- PFDs (personal flotation devices) are require for each paddler.
- Kayak/canoe, paddle, LIFE JACKET, whistle
- Hat, water shoes, clothes that can get wet (quick dry is best)
- Water for the paddle
- Recommended: insect repellent, suntan lotion, camera/phone in waterproof container, binoculars, band to secure your glasses or sunglasses
- Optional: your own lunch/snack if you prefer not to purchase
Please refrain from attending if you have recently been ill or have COVID-like symptoms.

WO Trip Leaders can exercise discretion in terms of safety and preparedness for the events they lead, including requiring compliance with vaccine, testing, and/or masking requirements.

Please respect the trip leader and other members and update your RSVP if you sign-up but then are unable to attend. Events may be cancelled due to lack of attendance, as well as changes in weather or other circumstances. If you must cancel at the last minute, call or text the event host/trip leader (see your registration confirmation for contact details) and let her know who it is who is calling/texting. Be sure to copy down the address, directions, and trip leader contact information to bring with you as there might not be good cell service at the event location.
