A hike to kick off your Labor Day Weekend
Little Bennett Regional Park in upper Montgomery County offers a glimpse back in time to when it was a patchwork of old farms, mills and a one-room schoolhouse.
We'll hike about four miles through old fields, oak-pine woodlands, rocky hillsides, wet meadows and along Little Bennett Creek. If we're lucky, we'll spy a variety of late summer wildflowers in the open fields and meadows. This is an easy to moderate hike with some ups and downs and a few rocky trails. We may be sharing part of the hike with horseback riders and mountain bikers.
Doggies are welcome to come on this hike but must be kept on leash at all times.
This free activity is open to members and non-members of Women Outdoors. Non-members are welcome to attend two WO events as guests. On your third event, we'll ask you to join the Mid-Atlantic Region of Women Outdoors. You can also join right now by clicking on this Join Us link.
