CHANGE OF VENUE - Because of ice and snow on the trails at Shenandoah National Park, we're going to hike at Sky Meadows State Park near Delaplane, VA instead.

We're going to bag the highest peak in Shenandoah National Park with this hike up Hawksbill Mountain.  But fear not, the elevation gain on this 3-mile circuit hike is only about 700 feet and the reward is a 360-degree view of the Shenandoah Valley.  Bring your hiking poles and binoculars.

There may be a lot of leaf peepers on Skyline Drive, so we're starting this hike a little earlier than usual.  Shenandoah National Park is about a 2 hour drive from the Washington metro area, but here's an incentive - November 10 is a free day at all national parks, so no $15/vehicle entrance fee.

This free event is open to members and non-members of Women Outdoors.  Non-members are invited to join us on two events before we ask you to join Women Outdoors.  You can join now by clicking on this Join Us link.

Registration closes at noon on Friday, November 9.  Please include a telephone number in case we need to let you know about last minute changes or if we need to cancel because of the weather.

Thanks.
