Haunted Winter Wonderland long weekend in Southern Vermont

Enjoy the last week of winter playing in the Green Mountains of Southern Vermont.  There will be x-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice-skating, downhill skiing, socializing, and sipping hot chocolate by the fire!

Our base of operations will be the historic Echo Lake Inn in Ludlow, Vermont! For those of you able to have a long weekend, meet us on Wednesday afternoon or evening and get settled into the lovely inn. We’ll have 4 days of winter fun and head home on Sunday. There is also the option to just come for the weekend or for the day if you live close by.

There are several x-country ski and snowshoe centers in this area. 

• Close by, right in Ludlow, is the Fox Run Golf Course with 7 miles of Nordic track trails and skating lanes that "wind their way through pristine meadows and Nordic hillsides along the Black River.”
• In Londonderry, VT, a 23-minute drive to the south, the Viking Nordic Center offers “Beautiful trails that wind through old woods, past classic Vermont scenery, around a busy beaver pond, and alongside the West River."  They offer 16 miles of meticulously groomed ski trails for both classic and skate skiing, with another 2.4 miles of dedicated snowshoe trails.
• A 38-minute drive to the North, there is also Woodstock Nordic Center located in Woodstock, VT, which contains 27 miles of x-country ski trails.
• For downhill skiing fans, there is Okemo Mountain with 632 acres, 6 terrain parks and 20 lifts.

After the day's activities we can relax at the Echo Lake Inn and have a cup of hot chocolate by the fire, socialize with others, shoot darts or play pool in the tavern. There is also the option of board games and searching the inn for ghosts!
