  • Enjoy the fall colors and waterfalls on this lovely hike.
We'll explore Patapsco Valley State Park, one of Maryland's first state parks (1907), on this 5.5 mile moderately strenuous hike with lots of ups and downs. Total elevation gain on this very rocky hike is 1200 feet. Definitely bring your hiking poles and wear hiking boots or very sturdy shoes.

Some of the features include a small cascade falls, historical ruins and abundant wildlife. The fall colors will add even more beauty to this hike. We have to share this popular hiking loop with mountain bikers, so we'll need to listen and look out for them on the trail.

Patapsco Valley State Park charges a $3/per person fee for Maryland residents and $5/per person fee for out-of-state.

This event is open to members and non-members of Women Outdoors Mid-Atlantic. Non-members are welcome to come on two events to see what you think. We'll ask you to join Women Outdoors after that. You can join now by clicking on this Join Us link.

Registration closes Thursday, October 31, or whenever we reach 15 hikers. Please include a telephone number in case of last minute changes.
