Bash Bish Falls Hike - on route to Camp Scatico
Join us for a beautiful 1.5 mile, 1-hour hike to Bash Bish Falls, the largest waterfall in MA. Its final pitch is dramatic as it drops 60 feet into an emerald plunge pool. The trail is rated moderate with some rocky and uneven terrain, a gentle slope, and elevation gain of 249 feet. We will hike together as a group at the pace of the slowest hiker; the hike is not considered handicapped accessible.
This is a great place to stretch your legs and catch some views before the last 30-minute drive to Camp Scatico, arriving at the Camp before lunch begins at 12:30.
Location:
Get information and directions for Bish Bash Falls from Taconic State Park. Meet in the NY side parking lot at 10:00 a.m. before the hike. The NY entrance of the parking lot is located at 396 NY-344, Copake, NY. Note that there is another entrance in MA, which is steeper.
What to bring:
- Sturdy hiking shoes or boots with good traction
- Hiking poles (if you use them)
- 1-2 liters of water, snacks
- Sunscreen, Bug protection
- Hat, Sunglasses
- Wear layers appropriate to the weather, Rain jacket

Turn right. Destination will be on the right ---31 min (20.6 mi)
