Women Outdoors Berkshires Fall Weekend GetawayStump Sprouts, Hawley, MAOctober 13-15, 2017Join Women Outdoors for our Fall Weekend Getaway at Stump Sprouts! Located in the Berkshires in Hawley, MA, Stump Sprouts sits at the heart of beautiful hiking and biking trails through lush fall foliage (and miles of incredible cross-country skiing in the winter). Six delicious vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals (Friday dinner through Sunday lunch) are included in the cost of the weekend. No charge for laughter and fun! Daytime activities We'll gather in the lodge for breakfast and dinner and bag lunches will be ready-made for us as we head out for adventure during the day. You can hike (long or short), bike, sketch, take photos or just relax. Several art museums are close by as well to explore. A nearby zip-line canopy tour offers a thrill of another sort. Evening activities In the evenings, we'll hang out in the cozy lodge, swap stories, play board games, do puzzles and maybe even some arts and crafts such as lantern making. Folks can also head across to the barn for other indoor games including ping-pong and pool. Accommodations All rooms in the Guest Lodge or in the Farmhouse's West End have a double bed and most have a single or bunk bed as well. Guests share bathrooms and bring their own sheets, blankets, pillows and towels. Stump Sprouts does have a limited number of linens for rent if you forget yours. Note: We will try our best to accommodate room share requests, but cannot guarantee them. Meals Our hosts, Lloyd and Suzanne, incorporate home-grown or locally produced fruits, vegetables and dairy products into meals whenever possible, and meals always include both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. All of the baked goods are homemade. They can also accommodate common special dietary considerations if you make your needs known in advance. What to bring Bring your own bedding (sleeping bag is fine) and towels. Blankets and towels can be rented if you forget. Bring a flashlight, rain gear (top and bottom), warm clothes (it's always colder in the Berkshires than near the coast), hiking boots, ear plugs, games, puzzles, and good stories. Cost The fee is $172, which includes 3 days and 2 nights, double or triple occupancy, plus 6 meals. You must register and pay in full by Sept. 29, 2017, to secure your reservation. You can pay online through PayPal when you register. You can also register online and then mail in your check, made out to Women Outdoors, to Women Outdoors, P.O. Box 765, Watertown, NY 13601. Check-in time is 4:00 p.m. Friday. Cancellation policy Fees are nonrefundable. In the unlikely event that you need to cancel your reservation, your fee will be refunded only if you find another participant to take your place. Send written notice of cancellation to SpecialEvents@womenoutdoors.org and instruct your replacement to register and pay online as soon as possible. Your registration fee will be refunded once Women Outdoors has received payment from your replacement. Special Dietary Needs?
