We’ll hike 1.25 miles on the remnants of an early 20th century old road to a foundation where a large homestead house used to be and sit under the huge shade tree that graced their front yard. We’ll retrace our steps back to the park and have lunch. The park has a pavilion (first come, first served), large relatively clean porta potties, an easy walking path along the small lake, handicap accessible floating fishing dock, and the opportunity to kayak/canoe around the small manmade lake (bring your own).
Please respect the trip leader and update your RSVP if you sign-up but then are unable to attend. If you attend without RSVP-ing it is possible that the hike may have changed without notification. Directions will be sent when you RSVP.
What to Bring
Dress for the weather. It’s likely we’ll find some mud so wear shoes that can handle it. Bring water and a lunch to eat after the hike.
