We love Shenandoah National Park, a jewel in our back yard, so we're heading back for another hike. Join us as we celebrate the 7th anniversary of the Mid-Atlantic chapter of Women Outdoors and National Trails Day.
We'll hike about 4 miles along the Snead Farm Loop Trail. This hike is for folks who are in moderate to good shape: about 1/3 of the trail is fairly flat; 1/3 has a moderate grade; and 1/3 has a moderate to steeper grade. You'll definitely need sturdy hiking shoes or boots and bring hiking poles if you have them.
The trail is wooded all the way and leads to a fabulous overlook at one point. Bring snacks and water for the trail and a picnic lunch for post-hike at the Dickey Ridge Picnic Grounds. Sorry, no doggies on this hike.
Shenandoah National Park is about a 2-hour drive from the Washington metro area and there is a $20/vehicle entrance fee. We'll try to figure out carpooling if folks are interested.
This free event is open to members and non-members of Women Outdoors. Non-members are invited to join us on two events. The third time's the charm: we'll ask you to join Women Outdoors at that point. You can also join now by clicking on this

Registration closes on Thursday, June 2. Please include a telephone number in case we need to let you know about last minute changes or if we need to cancel because of the weather.
Thanks.
