Long Hike at Green Lakes State Park

  • 08 Apr 2017
  • 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
  • Fayetteville, NY

Registration

Registration is closed

We will be hiking up into the hills behind and above Green Lake and Round Lake and then hiking back down to the lakes and walking back to our starting place one the paths alongside the lakes themselves.  There will be some steep ascents and descents and uneven ground.   We will hike at least five miles and probably more like six or seven, but there are many loops available so that we can turn back and do the shorter distances.  If there is snow, we will adjust the hike accordingly, based on the depth of the snow.

Bring:  Dress for the weather, good hiking boots, hiking poles are recommended if you use them, water and snacks. Optional: camera

Dogs are fine as long as they are hiker and other dog friendly. Note that depending on the weather, we may encounter some cyclists.

Address: 7900 Green Lakes Rd, Fayetteville, NY

This free event is open to members and non-members of Women Outdoors. Non-members are invited to join us on two events to see what you think. The third time's a charm - we'll ask you to join Women Outdoors at that point. You can join now by clicking on Join Us.

You can also join our Meetup Group: http://www.meetup.com/Women-Outdoors-Finger-Lakes/ and you'll be able to share in the conversation with other attendees, ask about car-pooling, borrow equipment, etc. RSVP here or on Meetup.
