"Primitive" camping - picnic table, fire ring, no potable water and an outhouse. There is about 200 feet between the parking and camping location. While this is "primitive" it is not wilderness camping. There are 6 more campsites on the other side of the pond, but this site is more private and stands alone.

If you don't have camping gear chances are the leader or someone else in the group can help you out - just let us know. I have a huge tent and all sorts of gear I can loan.

Cost and Registration Limits
Free. Provide own food and entertainment expenses. Campsite occupancy is limited to 11 people. No pets.

Scheduling
I realize that this is graduation weekend and some women will not be able to make it. It also overlaps with the cool sounding Oakwood Ghost Walk at Oakwood Cemetery. There are limited dates available for this camp site and it's the best I could do. Come for 1 or 2 nights of camping, or come for a day. We'll have fun.

Overnight Events Require Women Outdoors Membership
You'll need to be a paying member of the national Women Outdoors organization to camp with us. If you're not already a member you can become one by visiting https://www.womenoutdoors.org/. Membership is $30/year and helps support our activities.

Activities
We'll camp Friday and Saturday evening at a pond-side campsite. We can paddle right from the shore. There is a handicap accessible launch dock across the pond for those needing or desiring to use it.

There are several paddling options nearby, including Sanford Lake (accessible from campsite), Van Keuren Lake (tenth of a mile), Round Lake (quarter mile), Birdseye Hollow Pond and Swamp (5 miles), and Lamoka Lake (10 miles). We'll plan paddles for the weekend based on interest and weather.

There is hiking in the area (Finger Lakes Trail and http://mossybankpark.com), lounging around the campsite, or visiting nearby attractions in Bath (http://www.corningfingerlakes.com/towns/bath) for those not interested in paddling.
