Kayaking on Pohick Bay

Celebrate the 5th anniversary of Women Outdoors Mid-Atlantic with a gentle paddle on Pohick Bay. We'll explore the beauty and biodiversity of the marshes of Pohick Bay and look for herons, kingfishers and even bald eagles. After our gentle paddle, we'll enjoy a picnic lunch back on shore.

BYOB (bring your own boat) or you can rent a single kayak for $10.50/hour ($9.50 for Northern Virginia residents). Double kayaks can be rented for $13/hour ($12/hour for Northern Virginia residents). Everyone must wear a PFD.

This free event is open to members and non-members of Women Outdoors Mid-Atlantic. Non-members are invited to join us on two events to see what you think. The third time's a charm - we'll ask you to join Women Outdoors at that point. You can also join now by clicking on this Join Us link.

Registration is limited to 15 women and closes on Thursday, June 12. Please include a telephone number in case we need to let you know about last minute changes or if we need to cancel because of the weather.
